Our Founder
Trevor Latez Hayes
I am nyc based actor, writer, creative entrepreneur and founder of Black Theater Tribe. I graduated from NYU Tisch where I studied Acting and Social/Cultural Analysis with a concentration in Africana Studies.
I have performed Off Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company and the National Black Theater. As a writer, I have been in residence at Center for Performance Research (CPR), New Ohio Theater and more. Currently I am working on a tv pilot about a young queer black boy and his relationship to his ancestral past.
Black Theater Tribe is my proudest creation. Born out of a need to celebrate black artists, build community and create systems of inclusions.
